After WW2, stories about superheroes began to see a decline, but during The Silver Age of comics (1956 - circa 1970) superheroes claimed new fame after DC comics decided to reimagine their stories from the ground up.
The Silver Age brought new adventures to the Amazonian Princess, Diana. Born from clay to a God and Goddess who bequeathed her their powers, Diana is said to become "beautiful as Aphrodite, wise as Athena, strong as Hercules, and swift as Hermes." Diana uses her abilities to become Wonder Woman and protect the people of the universe. While protecting men, Diana decides to stay on the Man’s World and is forced to forgo her powers. On Earth, Diana begins training in martial arts and becomes a revered fighter. Later, she becomes one of the founding members of the Justice League of America.
